The Turkish Language and Literature department organized the fifth Literary Festival on January 10, 2020. The theme of this year’s festival was “Fairy Tales and Mythology”. To support our students’ understanding of the theme, several guests including renowned Turkish literature writers, Faruk Duman and Demet Çizmeli and famed Erzurum State Theater artists, Yılmaz Karakuzu and Samet Talayman attended our festival. Our students spent the day full of literature and art with activities like a fairy tale festival, a creative writing workshop, an interactive conversation with a professional writer, as well as dance and drama activities. Erzurum Media Art House and İzdüşüm Education and Consultancy Center provided the festival with great support by helping bring literature alive for our students. Students spent the whole day engrossed in workshops and activities to develop their appreciation of the art of literature. We would like to thank everyone who contributed and participated in our literary festival. We look forward to hosting our festival again next year.
