The director of Atatürk Organ Donation Training Research and Transplantation Centre, Prof. Dr. Gürkan Öztürk held a conference about organ donation at İhsan Doğramacı Foundation Bilkent Erzurum Laboratory School. In the conference which took place in our school’s multi-purpose hall, Prof. Dr. Gürkan Öztürk indicated that organ donation is the exchange of unhealthy organs with the healthy ones. Our guest speaker informed us with the videos about the surgeries practiced in Erzurum and stated that there are individuals including sports people who continued their lives and had been successful after transplantation. After explaining that organ donation is the best way of treatment to regain health for the people waiting for transplantation, our guest encouraged each of us for donation. We thank each and every person who made this conference possible.
