Our school had a trip to İzmir and its whereabouts with a group of 45 students and 4 teachers between June 5 and June 8, 2015. Along with its historical, geographical, and educational goals, the İzmir trip has also aimed at developing the social skills of our students such as sharing, team building, time management, etc. On the first day of the trip, our students visited Ephesus, Selçuk, the House of Virgin Mary, Ali Nesin Mathematics Village and Şirince Village. On the second day, the group visited Pamukkale “the Cotton Castle”, Hierapolis Ancient Town and the Museum of Archeology. On the very last day, the students were taken to İzmir Sasalı Wild Park. They also enjoyed the city tour including historical district Asansör and the Clock Tower on their last day in İzmir. During the trip, our students had the opportunity to practice what they have theoretically learned in their history, geography, biology and mathematics classes.
